The Exiles - Ordo Xenos Hit Squad

Inspired by the AWESOME avengers film.... I've decided, I'm building a team!....

Basically I'm going to make a death-watch-esque team of space marines that you might see if anyone were ever to make a film.

The place is also to make each model very distinct and very much the artistic stereo type. What I mean by that is the space wolf will have huge axe, wolf tail talismans, wolf-head backpack etc. The Dark Angel will be fully robed, mysterious.... can he'll carry a plasma weapon.

The Exiles - A group marines, cast out of their chapter, sentenced to permanent banishment due to their various crimes. A radical Xenos Inquisitor gathered these lone space marines and created The Exiles. They hunt the most dangerous creatures, take on the missions no one else will, turn the tide when things seem lost.'

PS. Yeah I know it sounds like the deathwatch, but I think the colour scheme is boring. I wanted the marines to retain their own colour scheme for coolness (and for painting practice... for example, the picture is my first time painting blue)

Here's the first completed marine:

Brother Epherus of the Ultramarines

Epherus was company champion of the 4th company. A great warrior whose axe had slain many a foe. Hot-headed, ruthless and some would say foolish. In his battle rage he would wade into enemy forces, hacking and slashing often compromising the battle plan. He was reprimanded many times for such behavior until the Battle of Calixis. During the battle against the orks he spotted the Warboss across the battlefield, disobeying the command of the Captain, he rushed foward determined to slay the leader. After killing several nobs he finally reached the Warboss. An epic duel ensued. Despite severe injury he bested the Warboss, and held his head aloft. The Orks broke and ran. Epherus's roar of victory was cut short as he saw the broken bodies of the command squad he had abandoned. Enough was enough. After the battle a furious Calgar banished Epherus declaring:

'Your repeated disregard for your brothers and the Codex Astartes cannot continue. I will spare your life but you have no place here. You are hereby banished, never to return. Leave, go and reclaim your honour, redeem yourself in the eyes of the emperor.....if you can'

Epherus was given a bolter and his trusted axe and sent out, alone, abandoned like his brothers on Calixis. He would later be approached by a hooded mysterious inquisitor. The man offered him redemption.

MORE TO COME SOON!

Chapter Master of the Scorpion Legion!

A Chapter Master takes shape!

This particular model has been thru about 3 different resculpts. Finally I'm happy with the result. At the moment he looks rather dirty (I gave him a wash of black ink so I could see any detail problems and get a rough idea of what he'd look like painted.

A Behemoth, That's a 40mm base!!!
I've always wanted an imposing HQ, a model that can really stand out. I also have a backstory written for this guy. Once he's painted up I'll be posting it here. For stats I'm going to use Mephiston as a base. For regular games I'll just use mephiston stats, for fun games with friends I'll see if they'll allow a modified stat line.

I was thinking the following: Exactly the same stats as Mephiston but without the transfixing gaze, plasma pistol, psychic powers and force sword and WITH terminator armour, an assault cannon. We'll see. I will most likely only be using him in apocalypse.

I do however, need input! I cannot decide which head to use. I'm stuck on the following ones:
Hooded? - Mysterious?
Half bionic face? grizzled veteran?

Scorpion Helmet?
Knightly?

Heresy style?

I'm stuck. Please post suggestions! :)

Also, just painted up this guy in 30 mins... not bad for speed painting?
